This event coincides with COP26 – a large international conference on climate change being held in Glasgow in early November.  COP stands for Conference of the Parties.  It’s the 26th time they have met.  

Essential Finance Training for Coops 14 and 21 October 2021

 Particularly suitable for smaller coops.

Do all of the members of your coop understand its financial performance?  Do you understand your coop’s financial health?  Are you baffled by balance sheets?  Addled by accruals?  If you have answered no to any of these questions, then this training is for you.  

On this training you will learn:

– Financial terms and concepts

– Financial controls

– Understanding financial reports

– Business planning and risk analysis

– Legal requirements of financial management

– Demystifying financial jargon

– Detecting warning signs.  

The training will be delivered by Chris Funnell of the Cooperative Assistance Network, for the West Midlands Cooperatives Member Education Group.  

The training is for any cooperative member, not just treasurers.

There will be two sessions, both held online.  You need to attend both.  The dates are: 14th October and 21st October 2021.
